Make Nice Sounds vs. Jetplanes of Abraham : Custom Audio Interludes
The Jetplanes of Abraham, an up and coming Ottawa indie-rock band approached us to create 8 different sound clips for a concert they were giving at the National Art Gallery of Canada as part of the Art Sparks series. The 8 clips were created to help the band transition from one song into the next, acting as interludes and along with the band, creating a seamless flow of constant music and audio. This was a very creative and interesting project that posed some interesting challenges. The results were well received by both the audience and the band. Here are some of our favorites. What you’ll hear is the ending of their song, the interlude and the beginning of the next song. By the way, the Jetplanes of Abraham totally rock! If you’re into indie rock - don’t miss out.

Make Nice Sounds vs. Lucion Media Inc. : Website Audio
When we first sat down with Bernard and Jean at Lucion Media, it soon became clear that what they were looking for in terms of music and audio for their new website was more than just a static loop that would run in the background. They wanted the user to have the experience of traveling through the different sections that highlight their various services as if they were visiting different rooms within a building. To achieve this while retaining a common thread, we created 5 different loops of music, one for each section of their site that have the same basic melody but have a different feel to match the space or ambiance within which the user would find himself. Essentially we remixed the audio to match the context within which it played. They have not gone live with the new website yet, but we’ll most certainly be updating the blog as soon as they do. We loved this project so much that we have created for them an extended version of the clips to give away as a goodie on their site. You can listen to the extended (and embellished) version below.

Make Nice Sounds vs. MFRFO : Promo Video Soundtrack
We were approached by the Conseils des Écoles Publiques de L’Est de L’Ontario (CEPEO) to create the music for a short video promoting the Maison Familiale Rurale Franco-Ontarienne (MFRFO), a school that through coop placements and community living permits students to finish their high school diplomas while gaining hands on experience in the agriculture and business commerce sectors. Working in collaboration with a group of teachers and students, we composed the 5 minute clip that would accompany their video targeting prospective students ranging from 14-18 years of age. They wanted something upbeat and electro. Here are two of the demos we submitted to them. The video can be seen here. They ended up choosing “le remix”, but we also totally love “rebondir”. Have a listen.
